The Andorran Grandvalira ski resort was founded in 2003 by merging the two oldest ski resorts in the Pyrenees, Pas de la Casa Grau Roig (founded in 1956) and Soldeu El Tarter (founded in 1964). This merger made Grandvalira the largest ski resort in the Pyrenees and one of the largest in Europe.
Grandvalira is fully connected and accessible with one ski pass. Despite its size, Grandvalira seems small in the conditions of advanced terrain and off-road. Ideal for beginners and intermediates. Several difficult tracks do not cause much enthusiasm (with two exceptions – Soldeu and El-Tarter).
